The RATTI brand was born from a desire, to condense all our knowledge, our skills, our determination and our hopes, into products that can give beauty, because beauty is joy and joy is life.
We have linked to this desire, the profound respect for nature, which holds beauty and without which any life is possible.
For this reason, we have tried to dedicate extreme attention to ecological issues.
The decision to abandon conventional technologies, aiming instead at 3D, in addition to the ecological intent, arises from the desire to look at the future, from the desire to allow experiencing true innovations enjoying them every day, to allow making a conscious choice for today and for tomorrow.
3D TECHNOLOGY
RATTI glasses are an highly technological products, entirely made using 3D technology. The first phase is the design, carried out with parametric CAD software. In this phase, a mathematical model of the glasses is created, detailed to a hundredth of a millimeter, allowing every aesthetic and functional aspect to be meticulously crafted.
Once the CAD model is defined and finalized, it moves to rendering software, which provides a photorealistic result of the product, helping to better define the aesthetic aspects. Meanwhile, the first prototypes are crafted using 3D printing technology. In this phase we check the fit of the glasses and their correct functionality.
When every aspect is perfected, the production of the components begins, entirely realized with 3D printers, which allow a tenth of a millimeter geometric accuracy.
The 3D printers enable various surface finishes, from a rough, modern industrial look in monochromatic colors like black, gray, and white, to patterned textures with smoother, more classic surfaces.​

ECO-FRIENDLY
RATTI glasses are an eco-friendly product, assembled without the use of metal parts, therefore easily recyclable.
The absence of metal parts allows you to reduce the ecological footprint. Metal requires a great deal of energy, both to produce and to recycle it. Therefore we decided to do without it, designing a coupling system that takes advantage of the geometric possibilities of 3D printers.
The glasses are entirely made with 3D printers. The nylon powder used by the printer is solidified only where it is needed to create the frame. This means not wasting material producing these glasses, unlike the acetate frames, where more than 60% of the original plates are thrown away.
The geometries obtained with 3D printers can't be created with traditional technologies, therefore they are also aesthetically innovative. The designed shapes, free from the geometric constraints of the past, can easily adapt to the needed functions, such as resistance, flexibility and lightness.
The thickness is reduced and the structure is hollowed out where resistance must become flexibility. Additionally, the material is microporous, which reduces the weight and amount of nylon used, improving the product's ecological footprint.
The base material is created using renewable energy and bio-methane, with the aim of reducing carbon dioxide emissions. A 49% reduction in emissions is therefore achieved compared to traditional technologies.
COMFORTABLE AND LIGHT
The structure of the glasses is partially hollow. This makes them light and flexible in the right places, increasing user comfort.
To further improve comfort, we have studied a system that modifies the position of the nose pads. They can rotate 15° on the X axis and 20° on the Y axis, ensuring perfect ergonomics on any face. Furthermore, the nose pads are easily removable and replaceable, allowing the installation of the variant most suitable for your face.
But it's not enough.
Since the goal is to make RATTI products the most comfortable on the market, we want to give the possibility to choose between multiple temples. The variants, depending on the glasses models, can be longer or shorter, narrower or wider, thinner or thicker, more flexible or more rigid, with different terminals suitable for skiing, or designed to wear a motorcycle helmet.
If desired, you can also attach chains or personalized laces to the temples, so as not to lose your glasses. In short, there are variants suitable for every need.
CUSTOMIZABLE
The possibility of changing the temples and nose pads not only provides optimization of user comfort, but also allows you to customize the aesthetics.
Anyone can creatively chose temples and nose pads with different shapes, materials, textures and colours.
You can modify the look according to your tastes and needs.
Furthermore, both men and women, respecting the standard measurements, can wear the same model.
Some frames are also designed to attach additional components which will make them truly unique.
RESISTANT
The materials we use to make RATTI glasses are the best and most technological that the market offers, they have exceptional mechanical properties of resistance and flexibility.
They can also be mixed with other materials, such as carbon, which further increases their resistance and lightness.
All joints are reinforced and studied in detail. Taking inspiration from nature, we design shapes that are resistant like animal bonesand flexible like plant structures.
To guarantee the long lasting functioning of the product, we have carried out 15000 opening and closing cycles. Thanks to the resistance and flexibility of the material and thanks to an accurate design of the mechanism, the trigger has never lost its effectiveness and efficiency.
LENSES
For the best well-being of your eyesight, we use lenses produced in Italy, only with the highest quality materials that guarantee UV400 protection, making use of the most cutting-edge production technology now available. Our aim is to guarantee maximum visual precision and maximum durability over time. Each lens is subjected to rigorous quality controls that avoid any type of imperfection.
The colors are refined and form a perfect combination with the frames, to obtain a product in line with current and high-level fashions.
UNIQUE
For some models it was decided to go beyond "handmade", numbered series, exhaustible and unrepeatable.
True works of art that few have the owning privilege.
HAND MADE
The care we reserve for each individual pair of glasses allows us to affirm that it is handmade.
Assembly, quality and functioning control, fine-tuning and, for some models, aesthetic finishing are manual.
